The 12BA6 is identical to the 6BA6 other than the filament voltage, which is 12.6V here. It's a remote-cutoff mini pentode, which can be used in variable mu compressor designs. This particular Shield-brand tube tests NOS, but shows wear on the screen printing and the box.
