Description
Introducing the Eye of Jupiter, next in our Storm Series. This is a 500 series module with the Dark Storm DI section built in, plus a similarly voiced re-amping section with an adjustable peak meter, and variable output volume. The DI has a Lo-Cut (HPF) switch, just like the Dark Storm. Better yet is the fact that you can use both the DI and the RA (reamp) at the same time, which makes for the perfect way to integrate guitar pedals into your (Lo-Z) recording studio signal flow. You'll still need a mic preamp to use the DI. The Super Storm pairs perfectly - giving you the vibe of a Dark Storm in your 500 series rack. Packed neatly into the Eye of Jupiter are a pair of LBA transformers and a discrete JFET signal path for a warm, tube-like tone.
NEW: Eye of Jupiter
The Eye of Jupiter is a 500 series module in our Storm Series lineup, which offers the DI section of our Dark Storm preamp and a new Re-Amping feature. You get the "Lo Cut" switch of the Dark Storm (on the DI signal path only) and a control knob for the volume of the re-amped signal. Also is an LED peak meter for the Re-Amp signal. It essentially illuminates when the output signal is greater than that generated by electric guitar or bass pickups. The meter can be adjusted with an internal trim pot. The 1/4" input and output jacks can be used simultaneously, making this a great device for integrating Hi-Z guitar pedals into a Lo-Z studio signal path. The DI will need a mic preamp to operate properly. When paired with the Super Storm 500 series preamp, you get the exact DI signal path of the Dark Storm. The Eye of Jupiter is not a sterile, colorless device. It has a subtle hair and edge to the sound, but also presents a noticeable level of warmth and headroom you don't often find outside of vacuum tube circuits. Inside is a fully discrete JFET signal path feeding a pair of Lightning Boy Audio transformers.
