Designed to eliminate ground loop hum in multi-amplifier systems. The 2020i is not a replacement or update to the 2020 Instrument transformer. This is a different product and can not be used in the same manner. However, it is very similar. In fact, this uses the exact same transformer as the 2020 Instrument transformer. The only electrical difference is the wiring in the circuit board of the 2020i isolates the ground connection between the input and output jacks. Like the 2020 Instrument Transformer, the 2020i input and output jacks can be swapped with no alteration in performance. The 2020i Amplifier Isolation Transformer is wound in-house on LBA's transformer winding machine and is the same size and price as the 2020 Instrument Transformer.
